10 – General Terms of Sale and Applicable Commercial Rules
These General Terms of Sale apply to all transactions carried out through the online store of ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL | PORTUGUESE HANDICRAFT from the Heart of Portugal, regulating:
identification of the seller and contact for complaints
nature and characteristics of the goods sold
prior knowledge of the total price
payment methods and delivery conditions
deadlines and rules applicable to the right of cancellation/withdrawal
The Customer declares having fully read and understood these conditions before completing any order.
10.1 – Seller Identification

10.2 – Nature and Characteristics of the Goods
The products sold by ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL are handcrafted, featuring unique and natural characteristics inherent to the artisanal process.
Each product includes:
detailed description
essential characteristics
illustrative photographs
technical specifications (when applicable)
The Customer declares having acknowledged these characteristics before completing the purchase.
10.3 – Total Price
The Customer declares being aware of the total price before finalising the order, including:
product price
delivery/shipping costs (when applicable)
any additional charges
any taxes applicable in the destination country
VAT Scheme
ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL by José Manuel Carvalho Gonçalves is covered by the VAT Exemption Scheme (Article 53 of the Portuguese VAT Code).
For this reason, the prices shown do not include VAT.
At any time, ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL may become subject to VAT, applying the legal rate in force without prior notice.
Customs Duties and Taxes in the Destination Country
For international shipments, the following may apply:
customs duties
import taxes
local taxes
administrative fees charged by the carrier
VAT or equivalent taxes in the destination country
These charges are the Customer’s responsibility and may be collected by customs authorities, by the carrier upon delivery, or during checkout if the system is able to calculate them in advance.
10.4 – Payment Methods and Delivery
Available payment methods include:

Multibanco (MB)
Payshop
PayPal
Mastercard
VISA
Bank Deposit
Bank Transfer
Sending Proof of Payment
For payment methods that require it (e.g., Bank Deposit or Bank Transfer), the Customer must:
send proof of payment to geral@artesanato-portugues.pt
keep the document as proof of the transaction
The order will only be processed after payment confirmation.
10.5 – Right of Cancellation / Withdrawal
The Customer has a period of 14 consecutive days to exercise the right of cancellation/withdrawal, valid in:
Portugal
European Union countries
Iceland
Norway

Exclusion of the right of cancellation
ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL does not accept cancellation/withdrawal when:
the Customer or third parties open, examine, handle or use the goods
the product is no longer in its original condition
there are signs of use, wear or manipulation
10.6 – Order
The order is considered valid after:
checkout completion
acceptance of the General Terms of Sale
receipt of the automatic confirmation email
10.7 – Delivery Times
Delivery times vary depending on:
type of product
stock availability
destination country
shipping method
Estimated delivery times are shown during checkout.
10.8 – Recipient
The order will be delivered to the recipient indicated by the Customer. The Customer must ensure that:
the address is correct
someone is available to receive the order
10.9 – Shipping
Orders are shipped via CTT – Correios de Portugal, the official carrier and partner of ARTESANATO DE PORTUGAL.
10.10 – Shipment Tracking
Whenever available, the Customer will receive a tracking code to monitor the shipment.
10.11 – Delivery Point
Delivery may occur:
at the address provided
at a carrier pickup point
according to instructions accepted by the carrier
